Let’s clear up one thing really quickly before getting into this: there’s Tango which is the next OS update for Windows Phone after Mango, and then there’s Tango which is a VoIP video chat service. Today we’re talking about the later, which is set to debut on Windows Phone 7.5 this Fall. We’d heard rumors that this would be coming preloaded on both of HTC’s new devices, and sure enough in the video after the break Microsoft’s Aaron Woodman shows us a demo of the app running on an HTC Titan.
Some have been saying that Tango may in fact be an exclusive to HTC’s Windows Phones, but we’d seriously doubt that. Still this is a clear indication that Microsoft most likely won’t have a uniting native VoIP service integrated into the operating system yet (despite Skype being promised to feel like “part of the phone”). But who cares, when we can enjoy some delicious CHOCOLATE CROISSANTS!!!!!!!
P.S. I’m working on a custom message ringtone for that special moment in the video. Seriously. It’s gonna happen.
