We didn't expect ZTE to really make a big splash about its Windows Phones upon release as we knew many would end up as carrier rebranded phones around the world. It look like that hasn't stopped ZTE from announcing its plans for the launch of the ZTE Tania in the UK though, which is slated for Q1 of this year (in other words, within the next few weeks).
Quick specs refresh: 1.0 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S2 MSM8255 processor, 4.3" TFT LCD screen, 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB internal storage, and a 5-megapixel autofocus camera. All in all not a bad set up and The Verge was impressed by the quality hardware materials in their time with the handset. (For a full gallery of hands-on photos click here.)
Fortunately ZTE is gunning for very affordable pricing. According to The Verge, the device would be sold for on-contract prices between £10 and £20 per month. However what we don't know is how much the Tania will be off-contract or on prepaid plans. Either way we're intrigued to learn more and would secretly love to see this device stateside on any prepaid plans.
