Is the city where you live just not nerdy enough? If you're craving to get your inner-fanboy out along with other Windows Phone fans, we've just caught wind of a pair of meetups that may be happening in your area.
The first is one we've talked about before: the St. Louis Windows Phone Meetup. The last event took place in mid-May and now organizer Rob Simmons is back with an even bigger meetup this time around. Nokia will actually be at the meetup holding a 'Getting Started with Windows Phone' developer workshop, hosted by Developer Ambassador Rich Dunbar! If you're interested in dipping your toes into Windows Phone, this meetup could be the perfect place to try it out.
Not to mention there will be free food and drinks, plus the chance to win a ton of swag, ranging from shirts and stickers to Zune Passes and even a Samsung Focus Flash! Here are the event timings and details:
Friday, June 22nd, 2012 at 5pm - 10pm
Location: 3 City Place Dr., Suite 1100, Creve Coeur, MO 63141
If you plan to attend the St. Louis Meetup on June 22nd make sure you RSVP first here!
That's not all, folks. There's also a second fan-driven event Rob has pointed out to us that is trying to get things moving in Lake Charles, Louisiana! Scott Craft is trying to organize an event on his own and if you live in the area and are interested in participating in a Windows Phone shindig, we recommend you drop a comment on their new Facebook and Twitter pages. With enough people interested, an event could take off so go ahead and show your Windows Phone fan pride!
