As much as we like to talk about the controversial Windows Phone 7.8 update, we really don't know much about it. So far Microsoft has only stated on record that the new Start screen will be coming to existing devices, and many have inferred this to mean there wouldn't be much else. Windows Phone's Ben "The PC Guy" Rudolph filmed a quick demonstration of Windows Phone 7.8 loaded up on a Nokia Lumia 900, which is the first time that's been done in an official Microsoft video.

Unfortunately the video (seen above) fails to shed any light on new features, with Rudolph sticking to the script. Despite the lack of new info though, we have to admit the new Start screen looks a lot better on an actual device compared to the screenshots (but we still miss the black space on the right). Microsoft has also set up a new page on the official Windows Phone website that will be used as a go-to spot for keeping up with news about the future software update for existing devices. Hopefully the existence of this page means there will be some new features to talk about with the 7.8 update in the coming weeks and months, and we'll be on the front lines to report about it.
