LazyWorm Apps has a lot to celebrate in 2012...probably more than what they were expecting. After a conscious decision to pull Metrotube from the Marketplace last year due to a lack of official support from Google, the app was welcomed back with open arms upon its rerelease in early July.

Today, LazyWorm has shared with us some important news, including that the app has surpassed 100,000 unique downloads. That's a pretty huge number for being an underdog third-party YouTube client, and they definitely deserve to see that kind of popularity. Remember that the app is free and doesn't even feature any ads, a commendable characteristic that's only made sweeter by this milestone.

Talk about good timing too, because version 3.3 of Metrotube is currently making its way into the Marketplace as we speak. The update squashes a few bugs in the last release, including one where videos would occasionally be stuck in an infinite loading loop. However, we have gotten a significant new feature that ties in even deeper to your YouTube account. The added support for Watch Later, which is the ability to mark a video for watching at a more convenient time, syncs with your account across YouTube's website, the official mobile apps, and the mobile website.

The update isn't live yet, so keep an eye on the app's listing in the Marketplace. Update: Version 3.3 is available in the US Marketplace now. If you haven't downloaded the app yet for some ridiculous and inexcusable reason, you can download it by clicking on the tile/link below, or by scanning the QR code with Bing Vision on your phone.
