We tend to gush about an app whenever it accomplishes something new or unique we have yet to see in anything else, so don't be surprised if we get carried away talking about TwoHandPainter.

On the surface the app looks like nothing more than your standard drawing app -- and most of those are nothing special. But go ahead and watch the video above, and soon you'll be wow-ing just like we were a few minutes ago.

For those too lazy to sit through the video, TwoHandPainter stands out because of its ingenious gesture-based control scheme. There's a bottom green bar dubbed the Control Pad that has four directional arrows as well as an indicator for what tool you're currently using. Tapping on that middle area brings up a few tools to switch between -- pen, spray, bucket, eraser, and more -- while using the Control Pad helps you dynamically control the opacity and thickness of a stroke as you're drawing. Now trying telling us that's not totally awesome.


klutzGames, the developers behind TwoHandPainter, reveal that the app is actually "built on gaming technology" which presumably allows them to perform these clever multitouch gestures. Some of the other features found in the app include:

• undo / redo (20 times)
• 6 layers
• color palette
• canvas zoom and pan
• file saver/load/delete
• export jpg to picture hub
