Can you feel that? That's the feeling of Windows Phone 8, right around the corner. So we've heard that Nokia was planning to beat Apple to the punch by announcing its holiday season Lumias running Windows Phone 8 in early September. Now their next closest competitor in the Windows Phone world won't be far behind, according to WPDang.
Their sources say that HTC is planning a global launch of its WP8 devices in the third week of September, which puts them out of range of Nokia but may butt heads with Apple's iOS announcements. Events will take place in London and New York, indicating that the launch in both regions may not be far apart from one another.
What devices could we expect to see? There's a trio of HTC Windows Phones rumored for this holiday: the Rio with a 4" WVGA display and 'conservative' Snapadragon S4 processor, the Accord with a 4.3" 720p display with a dual-core Snapdragon, and finally the Zenith with a 4.7" 720p Super LCD 2 with a quad-core Snapdragon.
