While there's a lot to love about Windows Phone's music player, we have to admit it's not built for use at the gym. Just trying to navigate the app or control playback is a bit of a challenge when you're running on the treadmill, and even tougher if you're on the move outside of the gym.

Touch Music has offered a possible solution to that predicament, and we have to admit its implementation is pretty clever. The app offers a unique gesture-based player screen for your music, and once you get the hang of it you'll never have to look at your phone to control your music. Tapping anywhere on the screen will play/pause the song, swiping left to right will skip to the next track, swiping right to left will go to the previous track, and pinching with two fingers will open your music collection. If you need to rewind, you can do so by simply using the drop-down controls when you tap on the volume button on your phone.

If you're not a big fan of the gesture-driven interface, the app also offers a normal button-based layout by tapping on the app bar. Touch Music appears to be a well-made, flexible music player for your Windows Phone and if you've ever found yourself needing an easier-to-use player while on the go this could be right up your alley. The app is available for $0.99 or as a free trial with ads. Click on the tile/link below or scan the QR code to download the app from the Marketplace.
