We've known for a while now that AT&T was planning to roll out a Tango update for its Nokia Lumia 900, we just didn't know when. Unfortunately that still remains kind of a mystery, but at least the update itself has been given a full preview by WPCentral. How did they get the update? It turns out a ROM is already available via Nokia's Care Suite, but we'd recommend not performing it yourself since it will factory reset your device with no way of saving some important data (like game saves).

Users can look forward to a somewhat improved camera, which is said to take shots much faster and handle its white balance better. Then there's the touch keys along the device's face which now stay lit as long the screen is being used, a very handy trick for the nocturnal Lumia lovers. Finally there's the standard set of Tango messaging enhancements and the ability to 'unlock' Nokia's newest apps like Counters or Contact Share which don't operate on earlier OS versions.
