We're just learning more and more about Windows Phone 8 smartphones these days, aren't we? There's high-profile rumors that Nokia will announce its first devices next month, Samsung accidentally leaked a few handset codenames and specs, there could be a trio of HTC devices in the works, Huawei has committed to a high-end handset, and Acer is waiting it out until next year. Phew, that's quite a bit already but now we have to add another name to that exhaustive list: ZTE.

According to 3g.co.uk, the Tania and Orbit handset maker is planning on a Q2 2013 launch of its first WP8 device. While there are no other details beyond that, the handset is said to be of "premium" caliber. Based on WP8's official specs we can most likely expect a 720p display, a dual-core processor, and a thin construction, all of which ZTE is very much capable of producing. Who knows if this is one of the devices the Chinese manufacturer plans to launch in the U.S. or if it will be strictly a China-only device.
