It's Wednesday and do you know what that means? A new Xbox Live Game of the Week is out for Windows Phone!
Dragons take flight in this week’s new Xbox Live game is Crimson Dragon: Side Story by Microsoft Studios. The game is a mobile spin-off of the Xbox Live Arcade title Crimson Dragon, which itself is an ode to the fan favorite SEGA franchise Panzer Dragoon — the first game was originally released for the Xbox in 2003.
So where does that leave Crimson Dragon for Windows Phone? Well as the title suggests, it is in fact a side story in which you take control of a dragon in a horizontal shooting action game. As you progress through the title you can breed new types of dragons to take into battle, level them up through experience, and customize their abilities with "over 170 skills" that you earn from playing. Another neat inclusion in Crimson Dragon is unlockable Avatar Awards, which rewards players with collectible accessories for their Xbox Live alter egos.
