Nokia can be quite the weird little company sometimes, and one of their latest stunts definitely has us scratching our heads. Several members of the press have apparently received a mystery package from Nokia Connects, the Finnish manufacturer's online presence which recently became a part of the team behind Nokia Conversations. So in the eternal words of Brad Pitt, what's in the box?
Thanks to an unboxing video from The Nokia Blog, we now know: a Carl Zeiss camera sensor, a sample of Corning Gorilla Glass, and an extra polycarbonate shell from the upcoming Lumia 920. Each item came with an accompanying card, touting the importance of each component in the final phone. Yeah, we don't get it either.
Our best guess is that Nokia had a few defective pieces laying around the assembly line and decided to put them to good use. Whatever the reason, it's a tantalizing tease as we await the flagship's forthcoming release. Video of the press kit unboxing after the break.
