This week saw the launch of the Windows Phone Store, the new branding and website redesign for the platform's app and game store. We had already learned a lot about the new look for the website, but we just made an interesting and handy discovery that we felt was worthy of our Quick Tip series.
In the new Windows Phone Store website, the Purchase History page has now been redesigned. Now you have a much more informative and detailed page which shows the name of the app, the app's tile, the date downloaded, and whether it was a purchase or a trial. The biggest improvement which is the point of this article are the new 'Reinstall' links on the right side of each entry, which provides one-click access to the web interface's install page. From there you can choose to trigger an app install on your phone, or send an email with a download link. If you don't know how to find the Purchase History page, use the menu in the top-right corner of the Windows Phone site and follow our instructional image to the right. Or click this link.
If you are having trouble downloading an app from the online store, learn how to improve its reliability on your phone.
