Somehow we're hearing a lot about Nokia's future plans, and it appears the company has plans in motion to expand their Windows Phone lineup to more price points. So far we've learned about the Nokia Glory which could run Windows Phone 7.8, as well as the Nokia Zeal running Windows Phone 8.
Now The Verge has once again informed us of a potential new phone, the Flame. Reported to be a 4-inch mid-to-low end device the specs are filled out by a 1.0 GHz dual core processor, 512 MB of RAM, and 4 GB of storage (alongside a microSD card slot). The Flame is expected to be released in early 2013, just like all of the other rumored mid and low-end devices.
It's an interesting strategy to get the core fanbase excited with high-end offerings first, and then satisfying lower price points with less capable but still feature-comparable devices. Well if anyone can pull off the strategy, Nokia can (just look at Symbian).
