As we countdown just a few hours until the Nokia-Microsoft joint press event in New York, there was a rumor from earlier today that looks beyond today's events. No, we're not talking about the Glory either.
The Verge has learned from sources familiar that Nokia has plans to introduce a 4.3-inch device codenamed 'Zeal'. While the phone is not expected to be announced later this morning, it is expected to be released a little down the road — in other words, early 2013. The Zeal has been given a few spec details too such as Windows Phone 8, a 1.0GHz dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 8GB of storage, and a microSD slot. Interestingly enough, it's being described as having a "Zune-like design" which if we were to assume was in reference to the beloved Zune HD means will use aluminum materials and a glass-and-metal design aesthetic.
Imagine if it looks anything like the fan concept pictured above. We would certainly not mind dealing with these supposed "mid-range" specs.
