It's Wednesday and do you know what that means? A new Xbox Live Game of the Week is out for Windows Phone!

Are you a vengeful god, or a caring god? Decide before you buy this week’s mystical new Xbox Live game, Babel Rising 3D by Ubisoft.

If the name sounds familiar, we first learned about this Windows Phone port in June. At the time, Ubisoft had plans to release the strategy game in July but clearly that didn't happen and once again a Windows Phone version of a game has been delayed significantly. We're not sure if the blame lies with Ubisoft or the notoriously tough Xbox certification process, but either way it's annoying. To make things even more annoying, the game launched on iOS for $0.99 but will cost Windows Phone users $2.99. So the game is late, and more expensive? Ubisoft isn't doing itself any favors here.

But despite all of these nagging issues, at the end of the day all we're left with is a mobile game — and apparently one that's quite good. Reviews from the iOS version have given it 4.5-star rating from over 600 users, something that is no small feat in Apple's competitive App Store. It looks like letting people play as a god and destroy puny humans with earthquakes, lightning bolts, floods, and meteorite showers has some appeal after all.

Babel Rising 3D is available in the Windows Phone Store for $2.99 along with the standard free trial. We're still not completely convince by Ubisoft's execution by launching the game, but if the reviews are any indication getting this game should pay off.
