Microsoft has got to be pleased about the reception following yesterday's Surface pricing announcement. Heck, just take a look at our poll (over 700 votes so far!) and you'll see that a good chunk of people are definitely interested.

Pre-orders began yesterday and as the old saying goes, "the early bird gets the worm". The cheapest option for the Surface RT, the 32 GB tablet-only model for $499, has apparently sold out in pre-orders from the Microsoft Store. It seems there's quite a few people interested in just getting the tablet or buying a different touch cover besides black.

Regardless of the reason, this bodes well for Windows launch day next Friday, October 26th. Have you pre-ordered yours?
