One of the most beloved science fiction sagas of our modern time is about to collide with one of the most beloved casual games of the smartphone era. Yes, Angry Birds is now big enough to orbit into the Star Wars universe.

Rovio has collaborate with Lucasfilm Ltd. to bring the world 'Angry Birds Star Wars', an all-new game that features the characters, stories, and settings from the motion pictures. As with all things related to this massive gaming series, there will be a ton of merchandise launching on October 28th such as Halloween costumes, action figures, collectible plush toys, and more.

When Angry Birds Star Wars launches on November 8th, Windows Phone and Windows 8 will be there. Yes, it looks like we are finally going to receive a game simultaneously alongside other established platforms just as the company had promised earlier this year. Hopefully we'll also see Angry Birds Space available at the Windows Phone 8 launch as well. Check out the video teaser after the break.
