It's red, just like our blinding fury towards AT&T!

It turns out despite my public complaints, I am not alone in getting the short-end of the stick from the carrier (some of the pre-orderers haven't even received their handsets yet). However, one week and one rant later, we finally have gotten our hands on a Nokia Lumia 920 from AT&T!

I was more than hesitant about the choosing the red model since I had never actually seen the phone in that color before. But as it turns out, it's exactly the brilliant muscle-car shade of red I was crossing my fingers for.

Unfortunately there isn't a whole lot to see in the unboxing, as AT&T has stripped the whole process dry of anything exciting. Included in the box is the phone, a Micro USB cable, and a wall charger — that's it. Nokia has made it a little more interesting by throwing in their own NFC tag card to clue new buyers into the feature, but beyond that the unboxing experience is mundane. Honestly though, for a $99 on-contract/$450 off-contract phone we didn't expect much else. (Before you ask, no our freebie wireless charging pad has not shipped yet.)

We will have a full review of the Nokia Lumia 920, as well as a comprehensive overview of Windows Phone 8, by next week. In the meantime, check out our unboxing video to get a look at the device and how it compares to its predecessor, the Lumia 900, after the break.
