Samsung's perpetually delayed ATIV Odyssey for Verizon may finally see the light of day, and much sooner than we thought.

According to leakster @evleaks, Verizon has plans to release the mid-range Samsung handset on January 24th, 2012. In case you haven't glanced at the calendar lately, that's exactly one week from today. They have also included a new close-up render of the Windows Phone 8 handset, which can be seen after the break.

Considering @evleaks was the origin of the first ATIV Odyssey images, which proved to be accurate, we have no doubt that this rumor is likely true. However, we're a little less confident in Verizon's ability to push out the phone in such a timely manner so we are forced to tag this as a rumor until we hear it from the horse's mouth.
