Nokia has unveiled their plans to rebrand their location apps on Lumia to their new HERE brand. Maps, Drive, and Transit will all be renamed with the Here prefix.

The company has also announced that Here Maps will be adding LiveSight augmented reality technology. In addition, Nokia is also promising to deliver the rest of its HERE suite of apps to non-Nokia Windows Phone products which means HTC, Huawei, and Samsung phones will soon be able to use the same apps Lumia devices benefit from.

Update: Nokia has just released HERE Maps, Drive Beta, and Transit for public download in the Windows Phone Store! All three apps are free for Windows Phone 8 device owners and can be downloaded below by clicking on the link or by scanning the QR code.

Update 2: The company has published a video overview of the new HERE suite of apps and details the new LiveSight functionality, which can be seen after the break.
